The Managing Trustee of Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust, Dr. S.P. Singh Oberoi has been making efforts for the welfare of the society. The trust has shifted the senior inmates from other jails of Punjab to Pathankot sub-jail and taking special care of their health and gave Rs. 2 lakh to Jail Superintendent Pathankot Jeevan Thakur Ji and Twelve thousand medicines were distributed. Trust President S. Jassa Singh, Health Services Advisor Dr. Daljit Singh Gill, Director Health Services S. R.S. Atwal and all members of Patiala unit were present.

Special attention is being given to inmates in Punjab and Haryana jails to make the prisons as "Sudhaar Chars" in reality.
Sarbat Da Bhala is organising Eye and General Medical check-up camps for Jail inmates regularly. Constructed 24 Toilets & 9 Bathrooms in Central Jail Patiala for the prisoners.
Cretch-"Satrangi" for kids of women inmates are opened in Patiala, Sangrur & Ludhiana Jails where free hygenic food is supplied by Trust more such Crèches-cum-school are being opened in Amritsar, Gurdaspur Ambala. Jails.
Providing Commercial R.O water Systems, libraries, Flour kneading Machines & Computer centres in Central Jails, District Jails & High Security Jails of Punjab and after other Jails.
Free 14 Computer Training Centres have been opened one each in Patiala, Amritsar, Ferozepur, Ludhiana, Nabha, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur, Barnala, Sirsa, Karnal jails, where Jail inmates are provided 6 months training and ISO 9001:2015 Certificates are issued by the Trust.
Total no. of 110 such computers are to be established for this cause.
Constructed shed, separate toilets for Ladies and Gents for the relatives of inmates in Central Jails Patiala and also provided facility of purified drinking water by donating a large size Commercial R.O. system with Cooler.
A park with the garden is well maintained and a boundary wall has been constructed by the trust in the ladies jail in Ludhiana near the Crèche- cum-School.
Blankets, Mattresses, Bed-sheets, Socks, Shoes, Caps, Pillows-with-covers (75 each) have been distributed in Ludhiana jail.
120 complete sets of uniforms with shoes are donated annually to Pakistani prisoners in Amritsar Jail who are not so mentally sound.
For the beautification and horticulture of PAP Complex, Bahadurgarh (Patiala), a tubewell have been installed.
A state-of-the art Golf Club Complex has been constructed by the Trust at PAP Complex Bahadurgarh (Patiala), This will encourage the budding Golfians who are being trained in a very spacious 09 holes Golf Course.
Fountain Irrigation & sprinkling system has been installed for watering lawns of Police Civil Lines in
• Fully equipped Bakery Unit is setup in Karnal Jail to provide freshly prepared and hygenic poducts to inmates. 05 no. large size Commercial RO systems have also been installed in the same complex. The Trust has decided to grant financial Education assistance to the wards of inmates who are sentenced for life imprisonment in Punjab Jails belonging to Economically weaker section for studies.
